Yalanji Dambal is a contemporary stylist strap shoe adorned with a beautifully woven kakan (black palm fibre) piece. The design is hand-made and purposely created to embrace and highlight a 60+ thousand year old weave.
Kakan is traditionally used to create balji (dilly bags) and can be found in the Kuku Yalanji region, located between Kubirri (Mossman ) and Kuku Nyungkul (Shiptons Flat).
